Nail Of the Day: Sally Hanson

006

Today, I spent about 5 minutes trying to decide what I wanted to paint my nails this week. In the end, I decided to just paint them black and add a little sparkle for an accent nail, a combo I’ve done before and absolutely love.

Both polishes are by Sally Hansen Xtreme Nails, which you can find in almost any drugstore for around $2-3. Black Out is a very matt black color that is very opaque after 2 coats, but I used 3 because that’s just the way I like to paint my nails. The sparkly polish is called Strobe Light and its just a clear polish with lots of very fine shimmer and some bigger circles thrown in and they reflect rainbowy in the light. I love this combo and its perfect for winter. Tune in next week to see what polish I’m rocking next.

Nail of the Day: Zoya’s Megan

In my January Birchbox I received a sample of Zoya’s nail polish in Megan. This is part of Zoya’s new collection called Feel. This is my first experience with Zoya. I’ve heard of the brand, but have never had the chance to try one of their polishes.

This milky, purplish gray color is gorgeous. The formulation is cream, not a big fan of cream finish polishes but this really has won me over. It only took two coats to reach a desired look and finish which amazed me, because normally I have to use three coats.

All in all, I’m thoroughly please with this polish Smile

Revlon Lipsticks!

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon these lipsticks by Revlon in a clearance bin at Kmart. I am so in love with these that I had to do a blogpost.

Left to right: Blush, Ruby, Ginger Rose and Party Pink

These lipsticks are super pigmented and very creamy.  You don’t need a lip gloss on top of these because they are shiny and very moisturizing.  My favorite of the four is Ginger Rose, it is slowly becoming my go-to everyday lipstick!

As you can see from the swatches, each color is very pigmented.  They are all gorgeous colors that are perfect for spring. Revlon’s lipsticks usually sell for $6-7 but you can always find them on a bogo deal or on clearance like I did. I highly recommend checking out these lipsticks.
