Nail of the Day: Feeling a little “Naughty”

009

I just picked up this polish this month and I have to say…I’m in love! This is Revlon’s “Naughty” When I saw it I thought it was fun and different.  It took about 3 coats to reach the desired opaqueness and it did take a while to try completely but it’s worth it.  My only negative thing to say is that in the bottle it has a gorgeous shimmer that you don’t see once its on you nails, it looks much more matte on the nails.  But it is still a beautiful color and I have been getting so many complements on it.  I’ve repainted my nails 3 times in a row with this so far and really don’t see myself using anything else in the near future Smile

Mani-Monday: Sally Hanson’s I Pink I Can

003

I just picked up this color the other day because I wanted something pink for Valentine’s Day.  This is very bright, bubble gum/cotton candy pink.  Like most Sally Hanson’s Salon line, it’s a cream finish formula.  I’ve had some hit or misses with this line of polishes, some are often very sheer and don’t show up even after 4 coats but I was please when this only needed 2 coats to reach desired look.  So happy with this color Smile

Review: Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam

102_0308

Recently, Maybelline launched their new spring collection, which included a brand new foundation.  This was raved about in the beauty world and I was very excited to get my hands on it.  However, after two weeks of using this product, I’m very unimpressed.

The idea behind this foundation is actually pretty nifty in my opinion.  It’s almost like a hair mousse consistency when it comes out of the can.  You simply give the can a few couple shakes and spray it out. This is actually one of the few drugstore foundations that comes with a pump. You need to be careful when you press the pump because it is very easy to get way more product then you need and much goes to waste.

Now to the actual product.  After spraying out the foundation, when you start to spread it out on your face and fingers, the foam turns to a creamy consistency.  But you have got to act fast if you want to blend it in because it dries extremely fast. Another thing I didn’t like is the fact that you can’t even tell that its on.  My Neutrogena Tinted Moisturizer has more coverage! This foundation line doesn’t come in very many shades, which I was kind of disappointed in.  I’m normally the lightest shade possible but it seemed a bit to light, so I went the next shade they had, which was classic ivory, but this was slightly too dark, which since it doesn’t have much coverage is an okay thing.  It acts more like a bronzer than anything.

All in all, if your looking for a fun new foundation to try and you don’t want a lot of coverage, this may be the one for you.  But if you need a medium to full coverage foundation, I suggest the Revlon Colorstay or Covergirl Nature Lux.  I hope you found this review helpful.
